Looking West Into the Past
This painting took its time. I originally planned for it to be in a comic style, but it was falling flat. I left it to think. I moved from the view, but not too far and still with a view of the trainyard, and explored it again. Ten years later, I finished it next to another new window in a new home with the fuzzy haze of a decade’s adventures to bring the texture it needed.
